Modern technologies such as computers, robotics, laser systems, fiber optics, AI, and satellite communications all rely on microelectronics.

This program equips you with problem-solving skills for technical and scientific challenges using these technologies, while teaching fundamentals of electrical systems, embedded systems, telecommunications, industrial electronics, and analytical techniques. You'll develop essential troubleshooting abilities for identifying faults and failures - skills highly valued by employers.

Focusing on hands-on training and cutting-edge applications, the curriculum ensures direct relevance to industry requirements. Electronics Engineering Technology provides thorough knowledge of electrical principles, microcontroller systems, communication networks, control mechanisms, and industrial electronic applications. Students get hands-on experience designing sophisticated electronic systems and solving practical engineering challenges.

The program includes an optional co-op placement between the first and second years. Selected students work in industry positions related to their studies, gaining valuable professional experience. Co-op admission requires successful completion of initial coursework with a minimum 2.3 GPA.
