The Digital Media and IT (DMIT) program takes a cross-disciplinary approach, offering diverse career paths from business analysis to visual design. This forward-thinking program helps you develop in-demand skills while aligning with your personal strengths and interests.

Within the Visual Communications specialization, master the creation of professional-grade designs through advanced principles. This focus area equips you with essential graphic design competencies, with coursework centered on two fundamental software applications: Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Complementary classes cover both practical and theoretical aspects of visual design, including color theory, typography evolution, and narrative techniques using visual elements. The curriculum culminates with portfolio development and essential business knowledge for the design field.

Thanks to DMIT's strong industry ties, students can access numerous co-op placements. These paid positions with partner companies provide hands-on experience in specialized study areas, while also serving as a talent pipeline for participating organizations.
