NAIT's Bachelor of Technology in Management (BTech) stands as Alberta's sole program of this nature and ranks among only a handful of comparable programs nationwide. For graduates holding a 2-year technology diploma, the BTech program provides a pathway to obtain a bachelor's degree with just two more years of education.
This degree program is specifically designed to help technology professionals transition from technical roles into management positions. Today's economy requires leaders capable of tackling technological challenges while making socially conscious and ethical business choices. The BTech program equips students with essential skills to create meaningful impact within their organizations and industries.
Students can select from four specialized concentrations that align with industry needs and enhance career prospects. Applicants for September 2024 can specialize in: General Management, Project Management, Operations Management, or Sustainability Management.
The BTech General Management concentration enables students to expand their technical expertise by developing crucial leadership and analytical abilities for management positions. This flexible program allows students to customize their learning journey, gaining expertise in operational, sustainable, project, and core business competencies including: leveraging systems and processes in diverse technological settings to generate organizational and societal value, fostering relationships through effective communication and teamwork, implementing ethical and socially responsible business practices, and developing solutions through research, analysis, and problem-solving approaches
