This certificate is open to all graduating students who fulfill the necessary requirements. The Forest Resource Management and Conservation Certificate will be granted upon graduation. To earn this certificate, students must complete the following 15 credits.
At Nipissing, Biology students engage in hands-on learning through laboratory and fieldwork—acquiring real-world skills via interactive experiences. Those drawn to ecological or environmental Biology can accumulate extensive field knowledge through outdoor labs, excursions, Field Camps, and research conducted in various local ecosystems. Students focused on laboratory, greenhouse, or health-related Biology develop valuable expertise through innovative activities and research projects in our state-of-the-art indoor facilities, utilizing advanced analytical equipment.

Qualification Requirements

Official transcripts from all institutions (domestic or international) previously or presently attended, secondary schools, colleges and universities (Domestic and international applicants who have attended postsecondary institutions outside of North America must have their transcripts assessed. International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma with at least six subjects, including three at a higher level, with a minimum final grade of 24, will be considered for admission. Students who successfully complete the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma with a score of 24 or higher are eligible to receive up to 30 transfer credits, equivalent to one year of full-time study. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): Applicants to all programs except Nursing require a minimum score of 83 (iBT) with a minimum score of 20 in reading, listening and writing, and a minimum score of 22 in speaking. International English Language Test Service (IELTS) : Applicants to all programs except Nursing require a minimum overall band score of 6.5 with a minimum 6 in reading, listening, speaking and writing.
