The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program provides a unique joint learning experience through its academic collaboration with Canadore College. Instruction occurs in a learner-focused setting with professors from both schools. Students attend classes at Nipissing University and Canadore College, which share the same campus location for easy access. Practical training occurs at the modern North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) and various community organizations, tailored to each practicum's requirements. The NBRHC is just a short walk from Nipissing's primary campus and student housing, offering a cutting-edge, easily accessible facility where hands-on training begins in year one.

Qualification Requirements
The following qualifications are the minimum required for admission consideration to Nipissing University. Applicants are required to achieve a high overall standing in their studies and must include the appropriate program specific prerequisites depending on the degree program to which they have applied. Please note that possession of the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission to an applicant's program of interest and/or Nipissing University.
International applicants are not eligible for consideration under Nipissing University’s Mature Student Admission Policy.
Common Credentials: British Patterned Education; CAPE (Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations); French Patterned Education; International Baccalaureate (IB).
Achieve the required proficiency level on one of the following tests of English language proficiency:
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): minimum score of 83 (iBT) with a minimum score of 20 in reading, listening and writing, and a minimum score of 22 in speaking.
International English Language Test Service (IELTS): minimum overall band score of 6.5 with a minimum 6.5 in reading, listening, speaking and writing.
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: minimum overall score of 58 with a minimum score of 56 in speaking, writing, reading and listening.
