Nipissing University's Psychology program lets you investigate these fascinating questions and more. From examining brain tissue to mastering psychotherapy techniques, our comprehensive program has everything you need. Distinguished, grant-winning professors frequently invite undergraduates to participate in their research labs, giving students precious hands-on experience that enhances their coursework and readies them for professional paths or advanced studies. Nipissing's smaller campus creates significant benefits for students, offering abundant involvement opportunities without compromising course variety. Our Psychology Department delivers a complete curriculum spanning all key aspects of the field.
At Nipissing University, Psychology students can select between Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree paths. The primary distinction lies in elective choices: BA candidates select from humanities and social sciences (such as English, Philosophy, Criminal Justice, Sociology, and History), while BSc students focus on science electives (including Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics). The BSc track allows students to pursue a Neuroscience Certificate by combining specific courses with an Honours thesis in Neuroscience. Meanwhile, the BA program features a specialized Certificate in Early Intensive Behaviour Intervention for Autism Spectrum Disorder.
