Psychologists investigate the processes behind our thoughts, feelings, and actions. They explore various subjects, including cognition and learning, social interactions, and ways to foster healthy growth and well-being. Through research, they acquire knowledge that deepens our understanding of the human psyche, improves performance and wellness, and sparks new areas of inquiry.
Our undergraduate Psychology programs allow students to delve into key psychological fields within a vibrant, research-rich setting. Students can specialize in Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Health Psychology, or SocialPersonality Psychology, along with a Mental Health and Well-Being track. Additionally, all Carleton students can pursue a Certificate in Multidisciplinary Studies in Mental Health and Well-Being.
The understanding you develop through psychology studies will benefit you indefinitely, regardless of your career path.
Psychology is also available as a Bachelor of Science degree. Although both the BA and BSc programs share the same psychology coursework, their electives let you emphasize either social sciences and humanities (such as linguistics, sociology, and anthropology) or natural sciences (including biology, health sciences, and neuroscience).
