You'll explore key aspects including Canada's economic framework, monetary systems, banking structures, employment markets, and international economic relationships.
The curriculum covers developmental economics in both Canadian and global contexts, while addressing critical societal challenges such as wealth disparity, social inequality, educational systems, healthcare, population movements, agricultural economics, and international assistance programs.
The following qualifications are the minimum required for admission consideration to Nipissing University. Applicants are required to achieve a high overall standing in their studies and must include the appropriate program specific prerequisites depending on the degree program to which they have applied. Please note that possession of the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission to an applicant's program of interest and/or Nipissing University.
International applicants are not eligible for consideration under Nipissing University’s Mature Student Admission Policy.
Common Credentials: British Patterned Education; CAPE (Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations); French Patterned Education; International Baccalaureate (IB).
Required 4U or Equivalent Courses from other provinces or countries: English; one Mathematics
Achieve the required proficiency level on one of the following tests of English language proficiency:
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): minimum score of 83 (iBT) with a minimum score of 20 in reading, listening and writing, and a minimum score of 22 in speaking.
International English Language Test Service (IELTS): minimum overall band score of 6.5 with a minimum 6.5 in reading, listening, speaking and writing.
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: minimum overall score of 58 with a minimum score of 56 in speaking, writing, reading and listening.
