The Child and Family Studies (CHFS) program at Nipissing University's School of Human and Social Development offers a distinctive curriculum centered on two key themes:
Human Development and Learning; and
Child and Family Well-Being: Challenges, Support Systems, and Social Equity. Students can opt for a Major, Specialization, or Honours Specialization
If you're pursuing a career in developmental services, healthcare, education, social work, justice, public policy, or corporate sectors with a passion for equity and creating meaningful impact, this program is ideal. You can also enhance your studies by earning one of our 2 Applied Certificates in either Applied Behavior Analysis or Program Evaluation and Applied Research (PEAR), gaining skills to enhance support systems for individuals across all ages in social and human services.
