The Psychology Department consists of around 30 faculty members and 60 graduate students. Our faculty lead dynamic research initiatives across various psychological fields, often involving community volunteers.
Psychology participates in the interdisciplinary Cognitive and Behavioural Ecology (CABE) program, providing both M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees. Prospective students must apply directly to the CABE program.
The Cognition research group specializes in human memory, metamemory, and attention studies. Dr. Fawcett heads the NeuroFog Lab, employing diverse methods to explore the neurocognitive foundations of human memory. While his primary research examines mechanisms of forgetting unwanted memories, he also investigates eyewitness memory and seeks to connect cognitive and clinical research domains.
MSc Program – This two-year, full-time program combines coursework with thesis research. Students may concentrate their studies in behavioural neuroscience, cognition, health and wellness, developmental psychology, or social psychology.
