Memorial University's Environmental Science programs take an interdisciplinary approach and are administered by the Faculty of Science. Students come to these programs with diverse undergraduate science backgrounds, including graduates from Grenfell Campus's Environmental Science bachelor's program in Corner Brook. Our graduate offerings allow students to expand their scientific knowledge, explore environmental applications, understand connections between disciplines, and gain expertise in complementary fields.
Students can pursue Environmental Science graduate degrees through three pathways: a coursework-focused Master of Environmental Science (MEnvSci), a research-oriented Master of Science (Environmental Science), or a doctoral program emphasizing original research.
MSc – The Master of Science program combines coursework with thesis research and typically requires two years of full-time study.
Program Durations:
MEnvSci, MSc: 1-2 years
Location: St. John's campus
Application Deadlines:
Fall semester: February 1
Winter semester (MSc and PhD only): April 1
Note: The MEnvSci program is currently not accepting applications.
