Data science ranks among the most in-demand careers of the modern era. As digital interactions become ubiquitous, each person creates a valuable data footprint comparable to precious resources in today's connected world. This exponential growth in data generation creates a parallel need for experts capable of organizing, interpreting, and managing information - the core responsibilities of data scientists.
Upon finishing the MDSc curriculum, graduates will gain the ability to:
Acquire comprehensive knowledge of data science methodologies encompassing predictive analytics, machine learning, AI systems, data representation, and large-scale data processing.
Develop competencies to investigate, interpret, and graphically represent datasets of any magnitude using cutting-edge tools.
Utilize data science approaches to solve complex, data-intensive challenges across diverse domains, evaluate information critically, and inform strategic choices.
The Master of Data Science (MDSc) is an intensive 12-month program featuring ten courses, supplemented by a case study component and a culminating research project.
Program Length (Full-time): 12 months
Location: St. John's campus
Application Cutoff: Fall semester deadline - January 15
