Geography has been part of Memorial University's curriculum since 1946, achieving departmental status in 1960. The graduate program launched in 1970 with MA and MSc degrees, followed by the introduction of the PhD in 1992. We aim to cultivate curiosity about global geography through teaching and research, equipping students with analytical methods to investigate geographical questions and effectively share their discoveries.
MA – Our Master of Arts program combines coursework with thesis research, typically taking two years of full-time study to complete.
