Environmental engineering has grown significantly as a vital field, addressing intricate and multidisciplinary challenges related to human health and ecosystem preservation. To develop economical engineering solutions for these complex problems, students must gain comprehensive education and professional training across interdisciplinary areas, including physical, chemical, and biological principles, resource management, and mitigation strategies, alongside specialized expertise in environmental engineering. This course-based program explores diverse subjects such as environmental law and management, human health and ecological risk evaluation, remediation techniques, drinking water and wastewater treatment processes, contaminant movement and environmental modeling, environmental sampling, and pollution-control engineering. Students will collaborate on a two-term engineering project to apply classroom and laboratory knowledge. Additionally, they are encouraged to enroll in courses from other university disciplines to broaden their understanding.

The program offers flexible full-time or part-time enrollment, with the full-time option typically lasting 1 to 2 years.

MASc – The Master of Applied Science in Computer Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Environmental Systems and Engineering Management, Oil and Gas Engineering, Safety and Risk Engineering, Software Engineering, and Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering consists solely of coursework and can be finished in under two years of full-time study.
