Biology explores living organisms, examining their composition, processes, development, beginnings, adaptation, and geographical spread. Among scientific disciplines, biology likely has the strongest connection to our daily experiences. Each day brings new information about biological subjects like genetic modification, ecosystem protection, environmental contamination, illnesses and immune responses, social dynamics, and demographic changes.
Those enrolled in a B.Sc. program with a biology specialization can focus their studies in one of these concentrations:
practical ecology and preservation
marine biology
biological methods and technologies
health-oriented biology
comparative organism studies
ecological evolution
microscopic and cellular biology
