Grenfell College offers Atlantic Canada's exclusive four-year Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre, with specializations in either acting or technical theatre production.
Acting specialization – Build core performance abilities encompassing vocal techniques, physical movement, and speech. These foundational skills will be applied to character analysis, performance methods, and theatrical productions.
Technical theatre specialization – Gain expertise in essential production elements like lighting design, audio engineering, costume management, set construction, technical drawing, scenic artistry, and show coordination.
Our theatre curriculum blends hands-on training with academic study. Alongside mentorship from industry professionals, you'll receive a comprehensive liberal arts education with focused studies in dramatic texts. This prepares you equally for professional theatre careers or using your degree as a springboard to other fields.
We prioritize personalized instruction, with acting workshops limited to 20 students and technical production classes capped at 15 participants.
