Our four-year Bachelor of Arts program invites students to explore both practical and intellectual dimensions of history that will captivate, challenge, motivate, and enlighten. The curriculum emphasizes pivotal historical moments, sociocultural frameworks, evolving ideologies, and the lives of individuals who either drove or were impacted by historical transformations.
History represents the dynamic narrative of bygone eras—revealing how past events persistently shape our modern world. The Historical Studies program provides diverse approaches to examining this narrative, tracing the evolution of Western societies, cultures, and nations from ancient Greece and Rome to contemporary times, while exploring various interpretations of this legacy.
The program features courses in European and North American history, covering essential themes such as the rise of European empires, global exploration, and worldwide transformations. Students engage with topics including Indigenous communities, slavery, colonial migration, nation-building, international conflicts, influential figures, cultural values, artistic movements, gender dynamics, mass violence, social movements, and revolutionary change. Additionally, they gain exposure to conventional and interdisciplinary historical methodologies—learning diverse analytical frameworks, historiographical viewpoints, and multidisciplinary approaches to understanding the past.
Applicants shall have completed the requirements for a recognized high school diploma or equivalent.
