The biochemical and molecular mechanisms that take place in living systems during both normal and pathological states, along with utilizing natural science fundamentals in medical contexts. An intensive research curriculum covering multiple biochemistry disciplines such as cancer and stem cell studies, cellular and human physiology, microbial and pathogenic investigations, as well as biomolecular structure analysis.
Student must have: Master’s Degree; B+ minimum average, based on previous graduate work.
Language Requirements
Applicants are required to submit evidence of their proficiency in the English language as part of their application. The most common evidence is a score on one of the following exams:
 
York University course: YUELI Level 6 with a minimum final grade of B
University of Toronto course: Academic Level 60 with a minimum final grade of B
Typical Deadline: January Admission - September 30th; May Admission - February 12; September Admission - February 12 (early); May 31st (final).
