The first year of Social Sciences I serves as the foundation for your degree. These introductory courses offer a broad perspective across disciplines, helping you select the program that aligns with your academic goals. The Social Sciences curriculum in year one gives students comprehensive exposure to various fields while assisting in identifying their ideal specialization.
Level I's adaptable structure encourages exploration across multiple subject areas. During your initial year, you're required to complete 18 units of core Social Sciences coursework spanning 12 departments. You may allocate the additional 6-12 units to either Social Sciences or other faculties such as Humanities or Science. Advancement to Level II requires completion of at least 24 units. Students with fewer than 30 units can fulfill the outstanding requirements anytime prior to graduation.
