McMaster University's Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs (including Basic, Accelerated, and Post Diploma RPN Stream) have received approval from the College of Nurses of Ontario. Graduates from these programs qualify to register as Registered Nurses in Ontario.
The Accelerated (F) Stream comprises five continuous terms of study, tailored for students transitioning from university science programs. This option is available at McMaster's main campus.
This accelerated pathway is intended for students who have finished a minimum of two years or 54 units of university education, predominantly in science disciplines. Applicants must fulfill several prerequisite courses, detailed in the program's admission requirements.
Upon graduating from the BScN program, students can register with the College of Nurses of Ontario to take the licensing examination and pursue RN certification.
International Baccalaureate - High school transcript with predicted and or final IB grades. Final IB diploma results must be submitted to be considered for advanced credit. International Secondary School - High School transcript with interim and or final grades. Achieve a Cumulative Average of at least B (75%) in the last 2 full years of university degree credit courses taken (minimum 54 Units) Achieve a minimum grade of at least C- (60%) on each of the following required courses: 6 units of Psychology, 3 units of which must be at the introductory level, the other 3 units must focus on the human aspects of psychology science 6 units of Human Physiology OR 6 units of Human Anatomy and Human Physiology courses; the courses collectively must cover all human systems: Nervous, Endocrine, Cardiac, Respiratory, Digestive, Reproductive, Urinary, Musculoskeletal and Acid/Base balance 6 units in any of the following science courses: Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Nutrition, Kinesiology 3 units of Statistics
