This program addresses the evolving demands of geoscience and environmental science professionals, potentially enabling students to satisfy Ontario's academic criteria for geoscientist certification. All participants complete foundational courses that combine essential science education in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics with specialized geoscience and environmental training. This includes geographic information systems (GIS), field studies, lab techniques, remote sensing, and professional skill development (research, written and verbal communication, teamwork, organization, and quantitative analysis).

The standard curriculum covers earth history, remote sensing, field techniques, soil science, environmental evaluation, surface processes, environmental geochemistry, and hydrology (refer to Course Outlines). To specialize their studies, upper-year students may concentrate their elective selections within specific focus areas.
