The Rehabilitation Assistant program equips students with essential knowledge and abilities to deliver safe, effective rehabilitative care to clients and their families. Working under the guidance of speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, or physical therapists, rehabilitation assistants support patient recovery.
The program's curriculum features numerous rehabilitation simulations to enhance students' communication abilities and ensure client safety. Students gain hands-on experience through two six-week, supervised practicum rotations in real healthcare settings. Additionally, MITT's Work Skills Series workshops help students develop key employability skills that today's employers value most.
