The Medical Office Assistant program equips students with the expertise and abilities needed to offer administrative assistance to healthcare providers across various settings, including hospitals, private practices, and provincial health organizations.
Through instruction from experienced professionals in intimate classroom environments, you'll gain proficiency in medical records, specialized vocabulary, clinical protocols, financial processes, appointment coordination, professional competencies, digital tools, and healthcare-specific software – preparing you to handle front-office operations in any medical setting. The program includes a six-week practical internship to apply and enhance your skills in professional environments, along with MITT's Work Skills Series workshops that build crucial career-ready abilities valued by modern employers.
