General major students enjoy the freedom to pursue their individual academic passions while fulfilling foundational coursework in jazz and contemporary music, instrumental studies, and ensemble performance. The Bachelor of Music program equips you with the expertise, knowledge, qualifications, and professional network necessary to establish yourself as a working musician, artist, composer, and industry leader.
This practical training is complemented by coursework in performance techniques, music theory, composition, historical music studies, career development, studio recording, audio production, digital sound technology, and academic research.
Applicants must have a minimum overall average of 65 percent, with no course grade lower than 50 percent, in the following high school courses- ELA 30-1 or 75% in ELA 30-2 Four subjects from Group A, B, C or D courses
