Equips students with both theoretical foundations and hands-on skills crucial for careers in sports, physical education, health, and fitness. Every health promotion student undertakes a 200-hour internship and seminar to acquire real-world experience in their field. We aspire to achieve national and international recognition for our research, innovative programs, interdisciplinary methods, and practical training that develops leaders in physical activity and health.
The program emphasizes cultivating leadership abilities to advocate for active, healthy living, with specialized training in fitness counseling, nutrition education, stress reduction techniques, environmental health awareness, and personal wellness discipline. Pioneering the Health Promotion Without Borders initiative, the program offers international experiential learning opportunities where students earn academic credits while volunteering worldwide - including medical missions in Kenya, community projects in Zambia, healthcare work at Howard Hospital in Zimbabwe, and programs in Mongolia, Costa Rica, and Ecuador. Graduates will master disease prevention, health protection strategies, and health education principles, gaining competencies to design, execute, and assess health promotion initiatives. The curriculum further develops leadership capabilities for promoting wellness through fitness guidance, nutritional counseling, stress management techniques, environmental health awareness, and personal discipline practices.
