This comprehensive program covers criminological theories, criminal justice institutions, crime causation, cultural aspects of crime, racial profiling and policing practices in Canada, Indigenous peoples' experiences with the justice system, youth societal issues, new religious movements, corporate-state crime, and media representations of crime. Students develop skills in social research methodologies and data analysis, with opportunities to engage in research initiatives.
