The Nutrition and Food Service Management Program offers specialized training for those seeking careers in food service administration and eligibility for the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM). This accredited diploma primarily serves the healthcare industry, with Langara graduates being highly sought after throughout British Columbia and nationwide.
The program combines essential coursework in food service administration, operational practices, and nutritional science with complementary academic subjects. Learners implement food service management principles through hands-on practicum placements and field training. The entire curriculum can be taken online, either through accelerated or flexible scheduling, while students also have the option to complete half the program through in-person instruction.
Advanced Standing Diploma in Nutrition and Food Service Management - designed for professionals holding prior nutrition or dietetics degrees. This pathway also welcomes applications from internationally-qualified dietitians.
Students must have a Baccalaureate Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from a recognized Canadian academic institution (or equivalent).
