Langara College's Film Arts program is an intensive eight-month course designed to prepare students for careers in the contemporary film industry as actors, screenwriters, or directors. The program's concept and creative foundation emerged from Langara's renowned Theatre Arts Studio 58 initiative, which has effectively trained theater actors and crew members through its conservatory-style approach. Film Arts provides post-accreditation certification across three specialized tracks: Screenwriting, Screen Acting, and Screen Directing.

While all qualified applicants will be considered, preference is given to candidates who have completed 60 credits of post-secondary study in a field related to their area of interest and who have demonstrated a commitment to pursuing a career in the film industry.
Admission to a program does not guarantee registration into required courses.
Students will be required to pay materials fees in addition to tuition. See the Course Schedule for material fee information.
Students will be required to purchase additional materials for their productions.
