Every semester includes practical training. Lakeland's distinctive third practicum involves collaborating with peers to establish a community play initiative. Together, you'll:
organize and advertise the play program.
host a family orientation event.
develop engaging activities and learning spaces.
facilitate children's learning and evaluate the outcomes.
In Alberta, certification levels require:
Level 1 Early Childhood Educator: Completion of one programming course in our certificate program.
Level 2 Early Childhood Educator: Certificate in early childhood education.
Level 3 Early Childhood Educator: Diploma in early childhood education.
