The Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) program equips you with essential skills, knowledge, and learning approaches to become a provincially certified educator specializing in infant and toddler care.
The curriculum aligns with contemporary best practices in early learning, addressing the evolving requirements of children and families today. It shifts the focus from fixed content delivery to fostering creativity, problem-solving abilities, and building meaningful connections among children.
Theoretical concepts come alive through hands-on, location-specific learning experiences. Leveraging each student's unique strengths, the program demonstrates how to cultivate attitudes and methods that can be applied when working with young children and their families. Participants are encouraged to collaboratively develop curricula with children and create inclusive learning spaces that celebrate diversity, including the traditions of First Nations, Aboriginal, and Inuit communities.
