Canada's sole undergraduate Water Resource Science program equips students with essential skills and scientific expertise to safeguard and champion our planet's most vital resource. This field examines how ecological, physical, and chemical processes intertwine to create Earth's varied ecosystems. Throughout the program, students will gain expertise in: Human impacts on natural environments. Restoration methods for compromised ecosystems. Water policy and governance. The biological, physical, and chemical properties of water systems.
Our comprehensive curriculum enables students to examine diverse aquatic environments - including wetlands, lakes, rivers, and groundwater - through multiple lenses while understanding their ecological relationships. What distinguishes this program is not just its specialized content, but also its interdisciplinary approach and emphasis on practical, field-based education, offering a distinctive alternative to conventional environmental studies programs nationwide.

Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD),
or Completion of Grade 12 and the Secondary School Diploma,

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme applicants who achieve their diploma with a total score of at least 24 may be eligible for admission. Three Higher Level subjects must be completed. Prerequisite courses can be presented at either Standard Level or Higher Level. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission. Some of our competitive programs may require a total score greater than 24.
Successful graduation from an academic secondary school program or equivalent (For most countries, the same academic preparation as is required for university entrance in that country is required for consideration. Refer to Admission Requirements by Country.)
