Geography examines spatial relationships and Earth's surface processes, along with how human societies interact with their environment. Our Geography curriculum covers both physical geography—analyzing landforms, water systems, and atmospheric conditions—and human geography, which investigates cultural, political, and economic influences on human activity distribution.
During your initial two years, you'll develop a broad understanding of geographical concepts, exploring: The global distribution of populations and activities. Causes and timing of environmental changes. Effects of these changes on natural and human systems. Societal and ecological adaptations. In your upper years, you can focus on specialized fields such as: Climate Science, Glacial Dynamics, Pedology, Environmental Protection, Disaster Studies, Hydrology, or Cultural Geography. Our program encompasses diverse geographical approaches, technical skills, and research methodologies like digital mapping, satellite imagery analysis, environmental sampling, and GIS technology. Fieldwork opportunities include regional camps and an optional international field course in your final year.
