Engineering is typically linked to solving real-world challenges through analytical approaches that utilize mathematics, science, and problem-solving abilities. At Lakehead, we emphasize that engineers should also have strong communication skills and grasp the business, legal, and social factors influencing the creation of technological products and processes needed in today's global economy. As a chemical engineer, you'll specialize in designing, constructing, and managing industrial facilities that transform raw materials into valuable goods. You'll also contribute to producing items like synthetic fibers, plastics, fertilizers, detergents, salts, food products, medications, resins, petroleum derivatives, and pulp and paper.
Our Chemical Engineering program holds accreditation from the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB). We provide multiple entry options for our Bachelor of Engineering programs to suit students at various educational stages.
