Lakehead University's Language program cultivates communication skills through majors in French and explorations of Finnish, German, Spanish, Italian, Ojibwe, Cree, Mandarin, and Classical languages. Through the Department of Languages, you'll develop: Advanced French proficiency across reading, writing, and speaking, Cultural awareness, Communication abilities in an innovative learning setting, and Knowledge of global socio-cultural and literary themes. Prior French fluency isn't required—our courses support language growth for all skill levels, provided admission criteria are satisfied.
