The Technical Management and Services (TMAS) program caters to aspiring technical professionals holding a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical fields like applied sciences or IT.

Regardless of whether participants are industry veterans or new to their careers, this program provides the essential skills for handling supervisory and managerial challenges in technology-driven settings. Technical managers serve as the bridge connecting business leadership with specialized technical knowledge, coordinating disparate resources to execute management choices while developing technical approaches.

Note: While designed as a two-year program, students have the option to fast-track their completion.

Qualification Requirements

Successful completion of a recognized undergraduate or graduate degree in science or technology (e.g. applied sciences, computer sciences, engineering, information technology, natural sciences) or

Successful completion of a recognized technical or science diploma, along with a minimum of 5 years of related technical, scientific, or operational work experience. (KPU will require a resume from these applicants to make an admission decision.)

English Proficiency Requirements

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Test: overall band of 6.5 or higher, with a minimum 6.0 in each band, taken within the last two years from the term of admission

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): IBT 88 or higher, with no sub score less than 20, taken within the last two years from the term of admission

Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL): Score of 70 or higher with no sub score less than 60, taken within the last two years from the term of admission

Pearson Test of English (PTE): Score of 61 or higher, taken within the last two years from the term of admission

Language Proficiency Index (LPI): Level 5 with an essay score of 30 or higher, taken within the last two years from the term of admission.
