The Horticulture Technology Diploma program at KPU, available with or without specialization, has gained strong industry recognition due to its curriculum and successful graduates. This program blends theoretical knowledge with practical horticultural techniques, teaching students to utilize industry-standard tools and technologies. A solid grounding in horticultural science helps students comprehend optimal environmental conditions for plant development, with sustainability and best practices being central educational goals.
A mandatory 455-hour Work Experience component, usually completed between the first and second year, allows students to practice their acquired skills while exploring potential career paths post-graduation.
You have graduated high school (secondary school) OR completed 24+ credits of undergraduate-level credits with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
English Proficiency Requirements
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Test: overall band of 6.5 or higher, with a minimum 6.0 in each band, taken within the last two years from the term of admission
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): IBT 88 or higher, with no sub score less than 20, taken within the last two years from the term of admission
Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL): Score of 70 or higher with no sub score less than 60, taken within the last two years from the term of admission
Pearson Test of English (PTE): Score of 61 or higher, taken within the last two years from the term of admission
Language Proficiency Index (LPI): Level 5 with an essay score of 30 or higher, taken within the last two years from the term of admission.
