The Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Human Behavior and Applied Psychology is designed for students pursuing careers beyond traditional care roles, such as design, business, marketing, HR, program development, and organizational leadership.

This BA program equips students with practical skills for immediate workforce entry while fostering versatile research abilities for graduate studies or data-driven industries. More intensive than a standard Psychology BA, it features faculty and employer-selected courses that develop both technical and interpersonal job competencies. It's ideal for those wanting to apply psychological principles and behavioral research in modern community and professional environments.

The curriculum aligns with the Psychology BA for the first two years, covering core psychological subfields. Upper-level courses focus on adaptable skills and real-world applications for solving contemporary workplace challenges.

Core courses like Interpersonal Relations, Cultural Psychology, Psychological Assessment, and Human Factors deliver broadly applicable workplace competencies alongside specialized knowledge for diverse sectors. Students can tailor their education through elective options.

The program includes a faculty-supervised workplace practicum arranged by KPU, providing hands-on experience and professional networking opportunities. The Post University Transition course helps students compile a portfolio showcasing their learning outcomes and preparing for career advancement.

For those considering graduate studies or deeper research involvement, the Psychology Honours program offers supervised research project development under department faculty guidance.
