Psychologists investigate the processes that shape our thoughts, feelings, and actions. They explore various subjects, including cognition and learning, social interactions, and strategies for fostering personal growth and wellness. Through rigorous research, they uncover insights that deepen our understanding of the human psyche, improve quality of life and performance, and spark new avenues of inquiry.
Our undergraduate Psychology programs let students delve into key psychological fields within a vibrant, research-rich setting. Students can specialize in Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Health Psychology, or SocialPersonality Psychology, along with a Mental Health and Well-Being track. Additionally, all Carleton students have access to our Certificate in Multidisciplinary Studies in Mental Health and Well-Being.
The knowledge you acquire in psychology will prove valuable across all aspects of life, regardless of your chosen profession.
Psychology is available as both a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree. Though both programs share the same psychology coursework, their electives let you emphasize either social sciences and humanities (such as linguistics, sociology, and anthropology) or natural sciences (including biology, health sciences, and neuroscience).
