The Catholic tradition is profound and multifaceted. The Catholic Studies curriculum offers students comprehensive knowledge of Catholic theology, covering scripture analysis, the evolution of Christian beliefs and customs, moral philosophy, and comparative religion. This program prepares individuals for teaching roles within Catholic educational institutions.
Aligned with King's University College's spiritual mission, Catholic Studies delivers an in-depth exploration of Roman Catholic doctrine and equips students with the expertise needed to instruct Religious Education classes in Catholic schools. This program also fulfills the Faculty of Education's Religious Studies prerequisites for those pursuing Religion as a teaching specialization.
Prospective students are advised to meet with the Department during Spring Counselling to discuss course options and scheduling. Certain mandatory courses are offered biennially rather than annually.
