The Global Development Studies program explores how our world is shaped by significant disparities, especially concerning poverty. These courses investigate how substantial economic divides lead to unequal power dynamics and the emergence of restrictive social, political, and economic frameworks often labeled as "development." By developing skills to critically assess these disparities and engage in ethical community-based research, students in these courses will gain the ability to work alongside grassroots initiatives that confront and address these systemic inequities.
