The Chinese language curriculum provides a comprehensive four-tier program covering listening, speaking, reading, and writing in standard Mandarin. The initial focus is establishing strong fundamentals in pronunciation, grammar, and developing all four core language abilities during the first three levels. At the advanced fourth level, students work toward confidently interpreting genuine contemporary texts using dictionary support.
Proficient students can choose specialized electives examining particular elements of Chinese language and culture through mediums like cinema, commerce, literary works, and interpersonal communication.
