The Ontario Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence with Machine Learning addresses the increasing demand for specialized expertise in this field. Tailored for individuals with backgrounds in computer programming, software development, or computer science, this program teaches core AI and ML principles, enabling students to implement AI models and machine learning techniques across diverse applications such as natural language processing, image analysis, computer vision, and business intelligence. Participants will also develop proficiency in utilizing AI for data analytics and mining. Alongside technical training, the curriculum covers regulatory frameworks, ethical considerations in AI implementation, as well as essential project management and collaborative skills.
During their final term, students undertake an industry-guided capstone project to address authentic challenges, demonstrating their acquired competencies. These projects are presented at a showcase event attended by potential employers, community stakeholders, faculty members, and fellow students. The program further facilitates professional connections through guest lectures, networking opportunities, and collaborative research initiatives with industry partners.
To be eligible for admission, you must possess the following:
A bachelor's degree, advanced diploma or equivalent, preferably in Computer Programming, Software Engineering or Computer Science

CAEL Online or In-Person: Overall band score of 70; Cambridge English Tests Minimum FCE/CAE/CPE Score -> Minimum B2 First / C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency Score: C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency 176 (with no single subscore below 169); Duolingo Language Test+: 125 and above; IELTS Academic Level: Overall 6.5 AND No band below 6.0; MET: 62; PTE: 61 – 64; TOEFL Academic Level: 580 for paper-based test OR 88 (22L, 22W, 22S, 22R) for internet-based test
