Humber's prestigious Multimedia Design and Development diploma provides comprehensive training in interactive digital media creation, equipping students with expertise in web design, mobile interfaces, experience design, motion graphics, 2D animation, coding, streaming, user testing, video/sound editing, UI prototyping, digital storytelling, and interactive design. This immersive program cultivates essential creative and technical skills for careers in UX/UI design, product design, videography, motion graphics, and front-end development.
As part of Humber's interaction and design platform cluster, this program shares its first semester with the three-year Graphic Design curriculum. Students gain foundational knowledge across design disciplines while collaborating with peers in related fields. This broad introduction to the dynamic design landscape enables learners to explore various specializations before selecting their concentration for subsequent semesters.
To be eligible for admission, you must possess the following:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including these required courses:
Grade 12 English (ENG4C or ENG4U or equivalent)
Three Grade 11 or Grade 12 C, M or U courses in addition to those listed above
or
Mature student status
or
College or university transfer status
CAEL Online or In-Person: Overall band score of 60; Cambridge English Tests Minimum FCE/CAE/CPE Score -> Minimum B2 First / C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency Score: B2 First / C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency 169 (with no single subscore below 162) ; Duolingo Language Test+: 105 and above+ ; IELTS Academic Level: Overall 6.0 AND No band below 5.5; MET: 56; PTE: 53 - 57; TOEFL Academic Level: 550 for paper-based test OR 80 (20L, 20W, 20S, 20R) for internet-based test
