The Digital Fabrication & Design Program provides students with sought-after abilities, focusing on practical experience with cutting-edge digital fabrication tools, sophisticated design techniques, and developing an international perspective.
This curriculum trains students to become flexible and creative producers, equipped to succeed in diverse fast-changing sectors. By working together, brainstorming, refining concepts, building, prototyping, and evaluating, students utilize technology to address intricate challenges. Learning occurs through design projects, educational excursions, partnerships with industry leaders, and a culminating final project.
Selkirk College's Admission Requirements:
Have graduated from a BC Senior Secondary School or equivalent, or
Be 19 years of age or over at the time of application, or
Be under 19 years of age but have a written recommendation from your Secondary School Principal
Digital Fabrication & Design Academic
Math 11 (Foundations or Pre-Calculus) with a minimum of 73% or higher
English 12 with minimum of 67% or higher.
Recommended but not mandatory: Physics 11 with a minimum of 67% or higher
Submission of a TOEFL score of IBT 80 or better; or
Submission of an IELTS score of 6.0 with no individual band less than 5.5 or better; or
Submission of an acceptable score on the Language Proficiency Index score of 4 or better.
