This program helps Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) integrate into healthcare teams specializing in geriatric and palliative care. Participants gain essential knowledge and skills to improve quality of life and end-of-life experiences. The curriculum addresses client needs during life transitions by teaching contemporary theories and best practices in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Combining classroom learning with lab work, the program emphasizes communication, spirituality, ethics, legal considerations, and culturally sensitive care for aging or terminally ill patients. Students apply their knowledge through a practicum in diverse settings such as hospitals, community health, home care, or long-term care facilities.
