This one-year graduate certificate program is designed for internationally trained nurses with a four-year bachelor's degree in nursing and professional experience. Combining theoretical instruction, laboratory work, simulations, and clinical training, the curriculum emphasizes senior care across diverse healthcare environments. Students will enhance their skills in supporting elderly patients with chronic conditions and their families. The program fosters nursing excellence within Canada's healthcare framework, with a strong focus on professional integration. Upon passing the NCLEX-RN exam and registering with the College of Nurses of Ontario, graduates can pursue careers as Registered Nurses. These professionals deliver patient care, conduct health education programs, and offer nursing practice consultation. Employment opportunities span hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, medical offices, clinics, community organizations, corporations, private residences, and public/private institutions, with options for self-employment.
