Students gain both theoretical understanding and hands-on experience to excel as Occupational Therapist Assistants and Physiotherapist Assistants (OTA and PTA) within today's multifaceted healthcare system. They learn to support occupational therapists and physiotherapists, helping clients manage movement restrictions and daily activity challenges—whether temporary or permanent—throughout recovery. The program blends classroom instruction, lab work, and clinical placements, adopting an interprofessional methodology to address client needs across hospital and community environments. OTAs and PTAs play crucial roles on healthcare teams. Upon graduation, students embark on rewarding careers with diverse opportunities in settings like hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation clinics, mental health centers, schools, sports medicine practices, children's treatment centers, workplace rehabilitation programs, and private healthcare organizations.
