This program combines theory with hands-on practice to equip students for working with children from infancy to age 12 and their families. Participants gain expertise in fostering children's comprehensive growth and helping them navigate life's daily challenges. The curriculum develops competencies for attentive caregiving while honoring the diversity and rights of both children and families. Through interactive courses centered on outdoor education, artistic exploration, and STEM concepts, students explore the wide-ranging advantages of play-based learning. The program highlights the importance of collaborating with families, fellow professionals, and community initiatives, as these relationships are fundamental to careers in early childhood education. This educational philosophy recognizes children as naturally inquisitive, competent individuals raised in culturally and linguistically diverse family settings. With two practical placements, students can implement their learning and refine their skills by interacting with children and educators in real-world early learning environments. Graduates emerge with essential skills and industry best practices needed to thrive across various early childhood education settings.
