This program equips students with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills needed to earn the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) Gas Technician 3 (G.3) and Gas Technician 2 (G.2) certifications. The curriculum covers workplace safety, code regulations, propane basics, system diagnostics, and repair techniques for installing and maintaining gas-powered systems in homes and businesses. Graduates typically enter careers as gas technicians, though opportunities also exist in technical support and sales roles across the industry. Additionally, graduates can pursue apprenticeships in various trades including sheet metal work, refrigeration, plumbing, and pipefitting - all of which require apprenticeship training post-graduation. Upon completing the program, students qualify to take the TSSA Gas Technician 3 (G.3) and Gas Technician 2 (G.2) certification exams to become fully licensed professionals.
