The two-year Fashion Techniques and Design diploma equips students for dynamic careers in apparel production design studios. This specialized women's wear curriculum emphasizes pattern creation and garment assembly techniques. Students gain hands-on experience with industrial equipment while mastering technical drawing, pattern development, size grading, and apparel fabrication. Foundational studies encompass fabric science, product specifications, and historical costume evolution. The program replicates real-world fashion industry environments, standards, and operations. Elective options enable specialization in diverse areas like runway event coordination, professional portfolio creation, fabric draping techniques, intimate apparel design, menswear patterning, leather garment construction, knitted textiles, and formal/special occasion attire. Our curriculum features both fundamental and specialized courses aligned with current industry demands, incorporating digital tools like Adobe Illustrator alongside traditional pattern making and grading. Advanced concepts are introduced during the second year of study.
